Peace Arch Historical State Park honors the peaceful relationship between the US and Canada. The arch itself was completed in 1921; the park and picnic grounds surrounding it on both sides followed in the 1930s. The principal highway between Seattle and Vancouver (I-5 / BC-99) straddles the Arch.
There is a sister park managed by British Columbia named Peace Arch Provincial Park that is currently closed due to COVID precautions.
