Long ago, this was a family-oriented vacation spot. When the last of the owners’ family passed, they willed it to the state for use as a state park.
This park looks geared for a lot of traffic in the summer. But it was not exactly quiet on this cold and sunny December afternoon. Lots of people – and lots of their dogs – were out enjoying the 1.4 mile loop around Deep Lake.
