Daroga State Park

visited 16 July 2022

Located on the Columbia River a few miles north of Wenatchee, Daroga State Park offers sandy beaches, camp sites, and some easy trails along the water.

When I visited on this summer afternoon, it was nearly 100°. Plenty of people were finding some form of relief on or in the water.

A calm stretch of the Columbia River bordered by a grassy shoreline and tall poplar trees, with a small beach where a few people relax and swim under a yellow umbrella. Arid, treeless brown hills rise across the water beneath a clear deep-blue sky.
A calm lakeside beach at Daroga State Park with a grassy lawn and tall poplar and evergreen trees along the shore, a marked-off swimming area with buoy line and pilings in the water, and brown mountain slopes rising under a clear deep-blue sky. Inflatable pool toys rest on the gravel beach in the foreground.
A wide river with rippling blue-green water, backed by a row of tall poplar trees, scattered houses, and green orchards along the far shore, with dry golden-brown hills rising under a clear deep-blue sky.
