Birch Bay State Park is located on Washington’s Pacific coast between Bellingham and the Canadian border. When I visited in early April, plenty of people were enjoying almost three miles of public shoreline.
Running just behind the shoreline is Terrell Creek …
… and beyond that is the campground which was just stirring to life for the summer season when I visited.
